No. 3 Texas had the benefit of raucous home crowds in their home matchups, with fans erupting after every Texas ace and kill. But the Longhorns won’t have the benefit of a home crowd on Saturday night as they take on No. 4 Nebraska in the national championship game.
It wasn’t an easy start to the season for freshman outside hitter Yaasmeen Bedart-Ghani. The Los Angeles native began her career for the Longhorns seeing little of the court behind Texas’ multitude of hitters. But it was Bedart-Ghani who was the key to the Longhorns 3-1 victory over Minnesota on Thursday, sending Texas to the national championship.
